not sure if this is the right question, but trying to figure out how much room a dealer in DC area has in price on a used 06 aero wagon. They're asking $26k for a car with 23k miles and CPOd. I did a test drive and it feels pretty much like new.

I think this car came back from a 27 month lease, so I figure the residual value may be a good indicator of dealer cost...or is that wrong.

Also, just some observations because I test drove 04 and 05 ARCs too.

1) looks--all personal, but the more I see the newer styling of an 06, the more I like it, especially in silver. It just looks more like a new car. 04/05 are certainly nice, but understated (and nothing wrong with that), they look more like a car the is late in it's run.

2) interior--the aero interior is very nice, especially in a two tone dash and doors. Again, looks much more like a new car.

3) XM radio-I am a big fan, and having the XM radio installed is a nice bonus vs spending $500 aftermarket to get a lesser version

4) there is nothing like a good test drive. Cars that look equal on paper..same year and mileage, feel and sound totally different on the road. And even though I expect Saab dealers to hold on to the better cars, there is still a very wide range of cars on the lot.

5) drove a 9-3 sport combi and really liked it. I wish the 9-5 had been updated the same way....oh well. But it did feel smaller, and a little tight for rear seat passengers so sticking with a 9-5.

6) lower clearance for aero, and low profile tires. Ride felt great, even on some less that perfect roads. But will I need snows for winter trips up to New England, and is the spoiler going to take a beating, or is there some way to put something on the front, that might give a little early warning before scraping it.

thanks
