Definitely get both of the DIC's replaced ASAP. I don't know what Canada has for emissions warranties. I know the US has an 80k mile warranty on stuff like the catalytic converter regardless of the make of your car, so you have a little cushion to fall back on here if you're under 80k miles. If a DIC fails on the V6 you can almost guarantee that the cat is going to be toast, if not right away a few months later. This happened to my car actually, and I was well out of the 80k mile warranty at 160k miles. I twisted the dealer's arm a bit and got them to replace it under the recall, but that's on the 2001. The cat is very expensive on the 9-5, and no aftermarkets really work; they all throw CEL's. If you want to save some money in the long run, bite the bullet and order 2 from eeuroparts. Good luck!
