I have a 2001 Linear which I purchased in England on the IDS program and a 2005 Aero. Both are great cars, the Linear is sun green a delightful color now discontinued and a black Aero with all the whistles. My linear also has most of the standard whistles. My experience with air cooled vent seats led me away from ordering again in the cars above. Both are very economical. The aero especially, if driven reasonably but with a car like that who drives reasonably. My recent Aero trip with three adults and two large Sheepdogs, average 75 MPH, all interstate, resulted in 33.2 MPG on the SID over about 800 miles each way. I use only 93 octane. My linear has 110,000 miles and very little repair of any consequence. It iu=usually yields between 28 and 32 MPG on 1700 mile trips with one or two adults and two large sheepdogs I usae 87-89 octane in it. The Aero only has about 12,000 miles and other than a sticky throttle body no other repairs yet. I do notice a slight drop in around town mileage with the E-10 fuel now being sold. I did have a 99 9-5 SE sedan with all the bells and whistles but the seats were not comfortable with the vent option so it was sold after a couple of years. After going to the Aero Academy in Atlanta where we had the oportunity to drive the V-6 and I-4s almost side by side I found, as did most, that the I-4 was the quickest and more fun to horse around in but the V-6 was quieter and smoother and the gals like them better. The v-6 was no slouch though and a really close second choice. It just seemed it took longer for the engine to spool up and get going while the I-4 jerked into action. I guess 30 years in a four banger has mesmerized me. I know the I-4s are almost bullet proof, don't know much about that aspect with the six.
