bbs rims out of round?

I've got a 2001 aero with the 2 piece bbs. bottom line, the car rocks, a blast to drive. I noticed from the time I picked it up that at certain times on the highway I got a slight shake in the steering wheel. It's not consistently at the same speed (like one of my older saabs), but seems to happen when I don't accelerate, ie, coast more, or sometimes after I brake a little.
at any rate, took the car to my private saab shop (not the dealer) to rotate and rebalance the tires at 5k miles. I watched them on the spin balancing machine, and noticed 3 of the rims looked perfectly round, but as the 4th rim spun I could see a slight out of roundness "shake". The guy doing the spinning was the shop owner, I asked him if this was unusual, and he said it was well within normal variation from what he's seen with high end rims, and he was able to balance the rim although with a little more effort than the others. By the way, he didn't have a tool to measure the out of roundness.
Personally, I would think rims of this expense should be, as we say, dead nuts for roundness (ie, TIR).....at least such that I couldn't visually notice it while it's spinning.
anyone else out there with a similar issue, and should they be dead nuts?
