First remove yor D.I.C,(I.D.M) then you need a 10 mm socket for the turbo pipe that runs across the drivers side cam cover and a 13mm socket to remove the banjo bolt on the turbo intake housing. Once that is clear then you need a Torx-40 socket from memory about 16 torx bolts to remove the cam cover and, then you have to use E-16 Torx socket for the head bolts. Get yourself a torque wrench if you don't have one already. If you don't have any of those sockets try Total Tools if youre in N.S.W and go on E-bay and get yourself a copy of a SAAB W.I.S if available alot of info is no that CD.
This info is just to get at the removal of the cam cover and inspection of the camsharft sprockets and check for sluge buld-up. The removal of the head requires breaking the timing chain and camsharft timing placement it is a big job. If not comfitable to carry the job on try some local SAAB inpendents workshops where you live.
Cheers !!!
All the best
