sharp as ait sounds from your bil=ke experience Braking the timing Chain is not required- remove the tensioner (27mm) this will allow enough slack to remove one of the cam bolts. remove the sprocket and this will allow sufficient room for removal of the head. Before you go to all this work have you checked the water points on the turbo? it is water cooled and one of those could be leaking. There is a lot of nit-noy parts to remove from the head but it is all straight foreward. Be sure to drain the coolant before loosening the head or the engine will fill up with coolant.
This is not an afternoon's job but an easy DIY job. You will save your self about 8-9 bills and gain knowledge too boot - No bullox
