Marbles under my valve cover

After having my blown turbo replaced, I've now got some puzzling noises-
1. At idle under the drivers side of the valve cover comes an occasional noise like a bunch of marbles rolling around- disappears if you put in it drive with the brake on and does not occur while underway. I hope its related to #2.
2. The engine knocks (not a gas knock)under acceleration- though it's not like the deeper knock noise you hear from a crank bearing- more like a light to medium tapping that follows the rpm. That noise is constant under all acceleration, never louder or softer. Disappears at steady speed.
The car is a 2002 Linear- mileage is good, no oil usage, no smoke, performance is normal, 95,000 miles, always use amsoil.
I did drive the car a bit after the turbo blew as I was on the interstate and sucked most of the oil through the engine but the oil light never came on and it did not get to the point where you hear valve train noise due to low oil pressure.
I like this car a lot but it is really my wife's and she is absolutely in love with it. I could be in trouble here.
