If you don't have the tools made to lock all the camshaft gears in place while the belt is off I would not recommend this as one of those DIY jobs. From what I have heard, even with the right tools, there's a pretty big learning curve on changing the timing belt on the V6. And if you do mess up, it's not worth learning from your mistakes in this case. The slightest error will cause some serious (and expensive) damage to the engine. I don't know what your skill level is, and I don't doubt them, just be cautious... The link below might be helpful to you if you still decide to tackle the project. Good luck.
