AC issues Posted by Don [Email] (#1099) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Don) on Fri, 13 Jun 2008 19:27:05 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I added R134A the AC system on my 99 9-5 SEV6, and it went slowly.
It was blowing warm air, and there no ACC codes.
It took 3 hours to put in three cans, and I was only able to get the temp at the center vent down to 60F.
While the car sat there burning money, I went through the dealer receipts the previous owner had left in the glove box, and found a receipt from last summer that says they brought the car in for blowing warm air, and the system was tested with dye, and the result was the expansion valve and a leaking schrader valve.
They did not list which valve, or what was wrong with the expansion valve, unless that was leaking also.
The owner declined the $650 repair, and the system was refilled.
Any thoughts?
