I'm glad to hear that it is the "Time for Service" message. It came on because it wasn't reset when the 15K oil change was done.
I had the recall done on my car because it was a problem; the dealer did it immediately. About 3mm of the hose was worn away. This is easy to check. Using a flshlight, look down the right side (passenger side) of the radiator. You can see the route that the power steering hose takes. If it's pressed against the side of the radiator, vibration will cause wear through the side of the hose. On my wife's 9-5 there is about 3/4" of clearance and no wear after 58K miles.
