Saab advertising has been plumb awful, mostly because it's been hard to say New! Improved! I agree that the 9-5 selling points are comfort, safety, charm, motoring enjoyment for grownups, and value. Born from Jets is an interesting historical nugget, but it isn't a customer benefit. I may end up like the upstate NY farmer in the rural legend who thought the Model A Ford V8 suited him to a T, was worried they'd stop making them, and bought several to store in his barn. As they wore out, he turned them into field bombs and uncrated the next one. 'Course to do that I'd also need a barn.
