As a very general rule of thumb, you can only drain half of the coolant solution out of your engine. If you flush the old coolant out with water, then drain the water, you will still have approximatley half of the system capacity now comprised with clear water.
Add new coolant (sounds like you are going to use G-05 formula) at full strength. This will mix with the water already in the system to give you the desired 50/50 composition - approximately. You can use a hygrometer to adjust closer to a perfect 50/50 if you like.
This is the only reason I can think of why anti-freeze is typically sold at twice its useful strength.
If you plan on flushing the old coolant out using new coolant as the flush fluid, then dilute the new coolant with water to the 50/50 mixture first.
