Just thought I would drop a quick post on this. I got a PPC stage 1 for my 2001 Aero wagon A/T in the the first week of June this summer. I was hesitant to get it with the research I have done on this board and some other boards. I didn't get any hardware, ie downpipe or exhaust. I did change to the bigger air inlet tube and BCPR7ES-11 plugs. I had some communications with Nick at GS and he stated thier PPC software had gotten better than in the past. He was right. A very noticable gain in power, yet it doesn't feel like it is compromising my engine or tranny. It seems to back power and boost off a bit at the shift points. Not a real noticable difference in first gear or off of the line but once you hit second and especially third I feel a big increase in torque. No decrease in mileage when staying off of the throttle, in fact I am getting better MPG highway. Hard part is staying off of the gas pedal!
