I own a 2007 9-5 Aero which I am enjoying immensely. I bought it new last August and since then have put 16K miles on it. It’s been a solid car. Warranty work has been minimal and fairly trivial. I received the power steering hose recall and the gas door solenoid had to be replaced……and that’s it.
The 2007 Aero reminds me very much of the 2000 9-5 Aero which preceded it. I put 280K miles on that car. On that car warranty and maintenance issues were light. After 200K miles some things did wear out like the fuel pump and throttle body.
The 2007 came with Xenon headlights and they’ve been trouble-free. I added after-market Xenon headlights to my 2000 Aero; they never required maintenance other than bulb replacements after 100K+ miles.
I’ve had Saabs for more than 40 years, in fact the 2007 marked the fortieth year of Saabs for me. I like the Saabs I’ve enjoyed, and I’m looking forward to picking up a 9-4X this fall.
