A quote from Anders (SWEDECAR) :
"It could also be dangerous when someone tries to DIY stuff without enough knowledge, especially A/C problems.
I don't know the reason since Blake haven't said why he needs to add freon. It could be a "shoot from the hip" approach to solve an A/C problem that turns out to be something completely different problem, and by adding more freon to an already full system would make things a lot worse and could create bodily injury if something blows up.
It's funny how our A/C industry here in CA is heavily regulated and they force you to have a certain set of machines and license to deal with A/C work and then a car owner can go to the nearest Kragen or NAPA and buy as many bottles he want to and cram into the A/C system with no repercussions whatsoever except freeze damages and blindness if something goes wrong."
