I just did it last week - a relatively easy job that took about 30 minutes.
1. Remove rectangular plastic wire harness cover above valve (slides straight up)
2. Slide maroon harness clip to right - this unlocks the clip
3. Remove long plastic wiring harness cover from left side of clip
4. Clip tie-wraps that secure the harness to the inside of the plastic cover
5. Move harness up and away for clearance
6. Cut tie-wrap that holds bypass valve to other hoses on firewall - it will be attached to a small metal bracket
7. Press on the tab on the back of the small bracket to release the valve from the bracket
8. Remove small vacuum hose from top of valve
9. Remove 3 hose clamps from valve with pliers - easier if you have hose clamp pliers, but this was the "most difficult" part of the job for me.
