Something may be up with your PCV system. Yes, mostly just 4-cyls see problems with the PCV but the PCV on my V6 got all plugged up not too long ago. If things are plugged up the crankcase will pressurize and force oil out all over the place, like the valve cover gasket. Check your PCV valve and make sure it's in the right way and not leaking. It should allow air to blow INTO the throttle body. Also, check where the hose from the valve goes into the PCV box on the rear cylinder head (pictured below). That nipple was all plugged up on mine. I used a simple arts and crafts pipe cleaner to poke the crud out, but eventually ended up replacing the whole PCV setup because the little rubber flapper valve was broken inside.
