I've had your experience.
If you clean up the hub center and put a film of antifreeze on it you'll never see the problem again. Also, clen up the hole in the wheel as well. I've never put antifreeze on the lug bolts.....I only torque to
85 ft/lbs.
By the way, I've used a tire repair kit from Dynaplug.com for 20 years, although there are others. It's proven to be effective about95% of the time. Also, nails in the center of the tread have the best prospects; nails in the sidewall are often not repairable because of constant flexing of the sidewall. Fortunately, most nails are picked up in the tread center.
