fact: These cars are prone to sludge.
opinion: I would not bet my engine that PCV #6 renders my car to immune to sludge. Nor would I bet my engine that Saab "got it right" in '04 or '05 or whatever. I use full synth and change it every 5k. I do in my "truck" too, and its got 300,000 miles on it.
fact: An oil analysis will tell the tale of your car, your driving habits, your oil.
If you want to know for sure what a safe OCI is, have an analysis at 5k, and another at 7.5k. And another at 10k if you are feeling lucky. An analysis will tell you if the oil is "done".
