My ABS is going out with greater and greater frequency (ding dong, dash warning lights and now increasingly more often the speedo/odo quits).
However, I'd prefer to know that it's the ABS controller and not a wheel sensor so as not to pay for the rebuild unecessarily. (I did that once before with one of my Volvos.)
So far, I have had no CEL whatsoever. If there is no CEL, would proprietary Saab ABS related DTS codes still be stored in the computer? I would be willing to pay the dealer to read the codes in order to confirm the diagnosis if there is a reasonable expectation that they will actually be code savailable for the Tech2 to read. If there would be codes stored, how long before the system would reset them?
Of course, I am assuming that if there are DTS codes that they will render a definitive diagnosis. Is that faulty reasoning?
Thanks!
