All was good. I had it in the tracks, the tracks were clear. I actually took the right one out and washed it, applied more sealant so it wouldn't slide off the rail again. I vacced out a lot, I had the window up and down a dozen times. Then I put on the panel, slam it shut, glass noise, work the window and again.....grinding. I had the door down to bare metal. Took all the gaskets out. It was probably something inside the door around the lock area that loosened after I finished the job...too bad I was so close (or so I thought).
I was under the impression that the membrane is there to seal the door compartment. There is a side airbag sensor which activates when pressure inside the door increases from impact. I thought the membrane.
Reason why I need a new one is that I sealed the other one up rrreeeeeaaal good last night just minutes before discovering all is not well. The only way to remove it is to cut using a box cutter on the inside of the sticky seam.
I called Geico and I'll be dropping it off at a dealer next week; want the door looked at, new seatbelt recepticle and I want the car cleaned out of glass between and around the passanger seat.
I know noone cares for your car like the owner but I'm at the office till 7PM, its dark outside and I don't have a garage to work in. I already sacraficed one vaccum hose to jerryrig a house ending made out of an empty toilet paper roll that would fit in the door. Ef it.
