With that cast iron trailing arm, rear toe changes aren't going to happen. The 9-3 trailing arm is flat sheet metal, and the toe-link bushings and geometry allow for rear roll-and-side-force-oversteer. Side forces, if working on the bushings, would tned to make the camber more positive, I think, which is the opposite of what you want for handling. That leaves only the usual suspension negative camber to help the rear tires around the corner. That and relative tire pressure, with higher tire pressures in the front making the steering more lively.
Note that different tires do behave differently (duh). I once had a set of Vredstein snows on a 99 that, if not pumped about 6 psi higher in the rear, were almost unstable.
