This cynic is optimistic on Saab..... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Fri, 9 Jan 2009 09:17:13 In Reply to: The end of Saab, Gabriel, Fri, 9 Jan 2009 07:47:21 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Admittedly I am biased in favor of Saab, but I see opportunity for Saab with what appears to be the demise of Saturn in North America. It should be very easy for Saab to make money for GM. They are about the only brand, from any continent, which already has an international sales and marketing system in place.
Saab is being throttled by a lack of product. Only two vehicles and one of them is nearly 12 years old! Move a reworked Astra to Saab as the 9-1, cancel the Vue and accelerate release the 9-4X, cancel the next generation Aura and accelerate release of the new 9-5.
A new 9-1, a refreshed 9-3, a new 9-4X, and a new 9-5. Finally, a broad enough product line to guarantee success. This cynic remains optimistic, alteast for a while.
