I've gone through several sets of all season performance tires on 1999
9-5. For the last set, I tried to ignore the inner edge wear rumbling and vibration of the rear Dunlop tires long enough and finally made the leap of faith to Grand Touring Michelin Primacy MXV4's. These are top rated by CU. With a fresh wheel alignment, these are the smoothest tires ever and I hope to keep them a long time with proper rotation. I always though Michelin to be overpriced, but an $80 per set discount from Costco (including lifetime balancing, road hazrd, etc.) made me cave. I even sprang for V rated tires, but in 6 months, I've never come near those speed limits. Incidentally, when I bought the car from the original owner, there was a half used set of Kumho summer performance tires, which were suicidal in winter.
Best of Luck,
Kirk D.
