get confirmation before I pull it all apart (esp the wiper arms although I've done it on my old 900NG b/c the cabin filter was up there!)
my plan will be to pull the motor and inspect and attempt replace brushes and clean com, etc. if doesnt work out, then call eEuro for $240 (ouch) once it stops completely. mine is still working and only occasionally doesnt start. but the thump method gets it started for now. but winter is almost over here in south FL. I use my A/C here even during the winter some days.
like one post said, maybe just cleaning and spring stretching will give it a few more years of life.
although as Ian mentioned, I am wondering if a new motor would produce more airflow as I think over the years the air flow has decreased.
