I went out in the snow yesterday afternoon and turning into the parking lot at work the car slid going about 15 mph. I didn't expect the curb because it was covered with snow. It was a hard jolt. I think the front wheels were turned left trying to make the turn. When It happened the big red triangle warning light lit for a second but there were no other warning lights or audible alarms. It seemed fine when I parked it but on the way home while it was still snowing the car was not as stable in the snow as it usually is and I noticed the steering wheel was cocked to the right a bit when driving straight. I am assuming tied rods and who knows what else ( Control Arm and or bushings). I drive it this morning and noticed a rythmic hum that got faster with speed. Not necessariily like the wheel bearing noise but could be the same. Another weird thing that happened on the way home last night was when I got to a point in the road that was clear of snow and started going faster and I noticed the hum last night I disengaged the clutch and the rpms shot up to 5500 and stayed there until I engaged the clutch. It did it all the way home except when i would stop at a light and the rpms would drop to idle. NO CEL at all. It did not do this this morning. Not sure if its related to the curb hit or not. I usually do my own work but with a one car garage housing a currently non driveable other car I guess i have to bring it to someone and bite the bullet.
