OK, I listened to your youtube video and it sounds very much like my V6. Just kind of a noisy engine. As far as the V6, I drove quite a few used SAAB's before buying mine. I was coming off a Chrysler Imperial with a 3.8 liter V6 that was very smooth (and quiet). I felt the I-4 SAAB engine shook too much at an idle and the shop foreman at the SAAB Dealer also showed me the insides of a sludged up I-4. Admittedly, the V6 is an English engine that lacks the refinement when compared to the japanese or other European V6's. It seems to be a good engine and has great torque from idle to 5000 RPM. I have never turned it any faster than that. Cam-belt and tensioner is a weak point and apparently water pumps as I'm on my 3rd one. I also realize that a SAAB "should" have a 4 cylinder engine but I'm OK with the V6. Pulls adequately off the line, idles smooth and is exempt of some of the 4 cylinder issues.
