Just passed 102,000 on my 03 9-5 ARC. I was just thinking how well the car was running. Last night when I went to shift from Drive into Park I noticed it seemed very loose. Now it will only shift from Reverse to Drive.
When the gear shifter is all the way back/down, the car is in drive, when shifted all the way forward, the car is in reverse.
I was able to turn the key off in Reverse, then shift to neutral, with the parking brake on, to get the key out. Then to start I had to turn the key, then shift to Neutral to start the engine. It seems to run ok but I am pretty sure it will get worse quickly.
What are your thoughts, and how is the best way to repair?
Thanks.
Tkell
