John,
Replaced the MXV's after 3000 miles. Wasn't happy with the MXV's and didn't want to have to replace them at lease end, and not get to enjoy better handling tires.
The Kuhmos are an amazing improvement in dry and wet handling. They should be kept out of the snow however. I put the Michelins back on for the winter, which gets me around in the mild New England winters, especially since they are relatively new with less than 5k on them.
I put 225/50/R16s on a set of 5 spoke take offs. The tires were a relative bargain at about $70 a tire from tire rack. After 10k this summer, they have worn very well, and ride relatively quietly (better than the Michelins)
Overall would highly recommend.
