I would not recommend the open intake. I had it on my 2001 V6 and it was obnoxiously loud. I also hated driving in the rain and couldn't go through the carwash. I took it off after two weeks. I would go with the just the snorkel upgrade and stick to the OEM paper filter. The paper filter has more than enough surface area for excellent airflow. I've heard it's good up to 300 hp when you tune the car. It's the safest alternative and you don't have to go through the hassle of washing and oiling it and risking over-oiling it which can do some serious damage. When I had the high flow setup the power boost was almost negligible. Yeah, you could tell it was a little different, but it wasn't a big enough improvement to miss it when I went back to the stock intake. This is just my experience though, and others may have different opinions.
