I had the Sport Filter with larger snorkel.... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Sport Filter + Air Inlet vs High Flow Intake, 02Arc, Thu, 14 May 2009 08:26:04 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I recently replaced the Sport Filter, the S&B product sold by GenuineSaab, with the new Saab paper filter due to age of the Sport Filter. I know it can be cleaned and re-oiled, but a paper filter was so much easier and about the same cost as the cleaning kit.
Anyway, neither option will give you any more pop off the line. The larger snorkel wil improve breathing, and you can feel the improvement with greater passing acceleration. The larger snorkel and cloth filter combination will result in a more audible BPV. Not to an objectionable level but the BPV sounds will be readily noticeable.
