I have a 2000 9-5 aero and have been contemplating the replacement of the timing chain with a split unit. The reason for this that I just don't want to pull the engin. What are the pros and cons in doing this? I had seen a c900 turbo with the same block and head having this done with just replacing the upper guide, some years ago and these chains are available.
If it can be done, can I hire the pulling tool for the job and from where?
