Took oil tube at base of block back out(has installed it with new o-rings, old o-rings were toast..) so wouldn't chance blowing sludge into motor block and bearings.. tried blowing air into oil filter threaded hole first, finger over turbo line openng above.. no luck just blown oil from oil tube opening getting everywhere
next tried turbo line opening above and blocked oil filter hole, still nothing but spewn oil everywhere..
next blew air into oil filter cavity opening, and then through block where pickup tube/screen goes to oil pump.. not sure which of these last 2 got it out as had a rag under it to catch it, but think it was from block to oil filter opening that popped it out, nice relief..
had a nice rounded 1/4" of sludge pile goo on top and small scratches very negligible, will clean up valve to smooth out and cavity opening to clear crud out, check that it slides freely and reinstall.. not sure how this oil pressure valve system works as spring seems real stiff??
since it was stuck up there must of have not been working right?? under or over pressure??
will be put back in and moving on to throw head on..
