I didn't do a complete rebuild so don't actually know, just top end for blown head gasket, planed head, new valve seals cleaned up all chambers and oil ports nice.. new split timing chain, removed balance chain, cleaned crud out of 95% blocked oil pickup screen and pan, plastiguaged all all bearing clearances, upgrading to TD04 turbo, all new o-rings and seals everywhere I could find and host of other upgrades, belt tensioner assembly and idler pulley and belt, WP, PS, alternator, coolant bypass, etc..
The tops of pistons looked real nice, slight layer of carbon easily cleaned up.. I had 210 PSI in all 4 cylinders after warmed up, so hopefully things are good there..
hoping for good end result after all is buttoned up..
