First, I put the jack and wood under the oil pan. Brought the jack up - this is the jack from the trunk not hydraulic - until it was supporting it and gave the handle (I used a short metal rod) another twist or two. The joystick in the center of the mount had collapsed so I was able to get the engine a bit higher, those one or two twists, with the yoke still on as there was no resistance. Then I loosened the four screws holding the yoke, the center nut and took everything off.
The reason why you have to jack it up even higher is that the new mount is taller - since its not collapsed - and when you reinstall the yoke you'll notice the gap.
I was nervous about putting pressure on the pan but it all worked out.
First, support the engine and give it an extra inch up. Undo yoke, put new one in jack up if necessary so that the screws catch the threads in the block.
