Just remember that the $400 bill is probably over $300 for the part (at retail dealer price), and dealer labor (at least in this part of the country) is well over $100 per hour (My specialist Saab wrench is $88/hr), with a minimum of one hour (maybe you'd get lucky and get a 1/2 hour min), so $400 at the dealer is not very far out of line.
Yes, I know you can get the part for much cheaper, and yes, I know that it can be done in 2 min 45 seconds (3 min flat if the motor is hot, and you have to put your gloves on), but dealers don't work that way, and need to stay in business...
