Rather than cut and splice the sensor wires (as I couldn't see any place to unplug them) I probed the wires with an ohm meter to see if they were providing identical readings. They are (or at least *very* close to identical). So, for the time being, I'm ruling out the mixed-air temperature sensors on the right and left side.
I checked, *again* the blend door shafts and the blend door stop arms. Just like I observed last night, they are appear fully functional and intact from every view I have with the heater core still in place. Never hurts to double check, though.
It may be a long shot, but I'm planning to bypass the coolant/heater bypass valve and see if that makes any difference (or perhaps just masks the symptoms). I'll report back with more info later.
Regards,
Greg Bender
