In terms of how to deal with a dealer who will not budge on a high price - walk away. 25k is too high. I paid 21k for a 2000 SE with 17K miles. Granted, that seems to be a *very good* price - I was just in the right place at the right time. You should be able to find 99 SE's at roughly 20K... Look around. I am not sure of your location - I live in California and I was looking out of state for my Saab. Oregon, Washington, Arizona... I was going to buy out of state and drive it back. Also, remember, if you are buying from a Saab dealer you will pay a bit more. I would look to private parties, run a CarFax report, call the dealer where the car has been serviced and have it "checked out" by a mechanic. If you are buying a low millage 9.5 with some warranty left; doing those things should tell you if the car is "good to go".
