Guess I'm a heretic or nut, but I've always stuck to the 10K mile OCI for my 01 9-5 Aero. Always use full synthetic, although alternate between M1 and Castrol. Used to use 15W-50 (M1) on someone's recommendation that higher viscosity oil would adhere to parts better and provide more turbo protection. Recently changed to 10W-40 (Castrol). I see most recommend 0W-40, does the low temp viscosity matter?
Ok, results. I've had PCV done, but it was in 2006 and don't know which version. Right now 163K mi on the clock. While it hasn't been trouble free, it's neither burning nor leaking (well, slight oil residue visible on bottom of oil pan when changing, but no drips) oil. Most of repairs have been wear items and the usual suspects, like DI cassette, ABS control, and fuel line clip. Turbo is still good. No idea what the engine looks like inside, never taken it apart. But I've followed all other maintenance schedule items.
Should I get the PCV #6 done? Change to M1 0W-40? Change OCI to 5K like everyone? We do a lot of highway miles, that probably contributes to the lack of major problems.
