Hi!
If I knew in advance that I was going to experience a crash with my car, and I could pic any sedan/wagon to sit in during the crash, I would choose a Saab 9-5. In that segment, the Volvo S80 is another competitive car, but I would still have more confidence in the Saab. If we look at bigger sedans, like M-B S-Class, (the "old") BMW 7-series and Audi A8, the only one of these that I believe hypothetically could be safer is the S-Class. I regard the others as pretty old designs, and I trust Saab more than Audi and BMW when it cones to safety. Okey, the decision is between the 9-5 and the S-Class. The M-B is a much bigger car, and if the car should hit a big tree or another barrier, I wouldn't choose to sit in it due to the hafty mass that is to be decelerated (i.e. energy to be absorbed). I think I would pic the Saab 9-5 after all.
