9-5 iPhone Mod - not for the faint of heart

I have a 2001 9-5 with the Harmon Kardon stereo and finally I took the plunge. I figured if I ruined my stereo I would get an aftermarket something-or-other. I recently followed the instructions found on this website, and would say proceed at your own risk. Also, I'm not an electrical engineer, so I won't be able to answer any questions (I just know how to take things apart, solder, and wire a switch). The common ground from the L and R channel are married and grounded to the circuit board--it's a little hard to see in the photos online.

And it works great! I plug the cable into my phone and when I toggle the external switch to on, the SID displays telephone and I get incredible sound--finally! I'm even able to make and receive calls, but occasionally I get a weird double echo (I think this is because of using the iPhone mic). I used a dremel to access the grounding point on the circuit board.
Make sure to switch off, and disconnect cable to listen to FM radio--not a big hassle for me :). I do get an inordinate amount of noise when I simultaneously charge the iPhone while it is playing music.
If I was better equipped I would attempt the bluetooth mod that this guy seems to have pulled together...I mean seriously this guy is amazing, I know it's all zero's and one's, but how to people figure this stuff out?

Good luck
