JG, the contact surface of the parking brakes is very thin compared to that of regular drum brake pads. They should not have worn into the drum portion of the brake rotor creating a lip and making rotor removal difficult. Did you try rotating the wheel to see if they are indeed dragging?I had to use a fair bit of force to remove mine. Hammered all around the backside to drive it evenly off the hub. The opening to the parking brake adjuster is indeed a very tight fit.I'm sure you did but will ask did you remove the screw that holds the rotor to the hub? Saab brakes are not the easiest to service. Threaded holes in the rotors hub that allows one to use a lug bolt to remove the rotor would have been nice. good luck doug
