Tensioner Issues anyone???

I have a 2000lpt with a well-maintained 149,000 miles and going great except for the following issue.
On starting the engine, if I turn the steering at ALL there is a real shudder in the engine. (Mounts - all but the rear on - are only 25,000mls old.)
Two different techs have said looks like the tensioner so replaced the tesioner assembly with a Scantech, changed the belt etc and everything looked OK in there. The previous one was Scantech too by the way and had only done 35,000mls.
The issue did improve for about 5000 miles but the shake has started again.
So, please tell me if you have any idea of issues with this Scantech assembly. I would prefer not to waste any more time on an incorrect track; Surely it is not likely to be succesively bad tens assemblies.... Or am I just on the wrong track?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
