I recently drove the 2002 Saab Aero, Infiniti G35, Caddy CTS and New Audi A4. I own a 2001 AERO. Here is the real deal. The new 2002 Aero BEATS THEM ALL! The changes made to the 02 AERO put it over the top. The AUDI is very solid, refined, handles well and seems well built....however, the 3.0 v6 is lacking low end torgue, gets rough at high rpms, interior is cramped, reliability is questionable. G35 has lots of power, handles well, and has lots of amenities. It should prove reliable and high quality. Optioned up to SAAB level of equipment and the price is very close to AERO. The New AERO offers instant power at low end, great power at the top end, better steering feel than all the others (despite FWD)very little torgue steer, larger interior, the absolute best seats, better 5 speed automatic than the others, best highway performance and excellent handling and ride. Plus the safety reputation. It is way better than my 2001 AERO, which has been flawless through 13,000 miles. The G35 is good, very good, but at a price close to the 2002 AERO, I would take the AERO. If the G35 could be had for substantially less it would be a good alternative. Drive them both extensively and see for yourself.
