jarrald-great write-up! However, one small caution re line 3a. When I did mine (on an OG hatchback 9-3 but I think they are the same) a while back I found that simply disconnecting the antenna caused a fault to show on the SID subsequently. Dealer later told me that this can be avoided by either not disconnecting the antenna-or if it really gets in the way then yes, disconnect it: but first disconnect the battery(taking the usual precautions before doing so). Also reconnect it before reconnecting the battery. That should avoid any SID messages being generated...........hope this helps. Also, the antenna unit around the key cylinder only rotates around 1/8 of a turn one way before you can lift it up up: don't prise it or you may break the small plastic bayonet tags that hold it in place; wriggle it a bit if it won't come easily. If it's tight you should feel it loosen a little when you reach around the 1/8 point-so you should know then you're OK to lift it. My car is RHD, and you turn it anticlockwise, but yours is probably LHD-I don't know if that turns the other way. Anyone help with that? Good luck Ian
