haha, yeah, I was only half interested in that car, but it was such an outstanding deal I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask (in case he had a 9-5 wreck out back from which to cannibalize an engine)... obviously, short of that, the car is going to a junk yard. nobody in their right mind is going to put a brand new engine in a 10 year old car - better off financially to buy a newer used 9-5 (and that's why the car was for sale - the guy got a quote from the dealer on the repair)...
by "fun diy project", I meant "fun" for someone else... I imagine there's probably many parts incompatibilities + customizations required to make it work... some people have the skills, time, and interest to pursue that... not me!
can you imagine (where you work at a dealer) having some guy bring in a 9-5 with a 9000 engine in it? that would be pretty funny!!
