the other cars have lots to offer, but they can not compete with the 2002 AERO. The BMW is small and the 2.5 engine is no match for the AERO. Bmw handles well, but its handling advantage is only really useable at a track. In the real world, give me the '02 Aero anyday. The G35 is fast and kinda fun, but it clearly needs more developement. The steering feels weird, the brakes are grabby with non linear peddle feel, the standard or sports suspension are both loud and transmit to much impact harshness, the auto trans is not well coordinated with the engine etc. The '02 AERO is incredible, once you get a taste of SAAB Turbo power characteristics, you wont' be satisfied with anything else. The 5 speed auto is great, the brakes are fantastic with great feel, the steering is direct, responsive and almost totally without torque steer, the handling and ride are superb. I could go on and on. I just drove and friends Acura TL from Wash. D.C. to New York and back. It is smooth, quiet, and pleasant overall. But it is also boring, accord like, non linear power steering which lacks road feel, doesn't handle air turbulence well at all, has less grip, less room, less trunk space, less safety, less stable at high speeds, and will lose what power it has at higher altitudes. The Type-S is a little better, but not much. I own a '01 AERO and love it. Trouble free for 13k miles. The '02 is worlds better in every way. Get it!
