Rust deposits can form in the MC in the areas not swept by the piston cup seals. If you press the petal to the floor after installing new pads, the rust deposit can cut the seals. Never stroke the petal that far. Might be a good idea to place a wood block behind the petal to limit travel.
Bleeding is not an issue, air cannot be in the system from replacing pads and rotors. If the petal goes down a lot, fluid must be leaking at the MC pistons. But do check the mechanicals and springs.
