or is it x3?
Yes, second Aero wagon/combi.
Got this 2007 with only 16k on the odometer, and it's SAAB certified, so I have over three years and 84k miles (not that I'll hit that) of bumper-to-bumper.
Comparing it to the 2002...
I've warmed up to the instrumentation and controls changes.
I LOVE the 60th anniv sport seats.
I think I'm warming up to the plastic mtl changes to the dash and door panels.
It's too bad that they had to do some bean counter things.
The puddle lights on the rear doors are gone.
The lights in the rear hatch when it's open (the safety red and accompanying white shining down) lights are gone.
The cargo track rails in the rear is different. Looks cleaner, but I'm sure it was primarily a cost-saving change (4, maybe 5 anchor points instead of continuous machining).
Not sure about the chrome eyebrows around headlights, but the silver car color hides them some. I'm not sure what this silver is called, but I LOVE it.
I thought that the "bow-tie" radio would really bother me, but I've completely forgotten that concern. Just drove the car tonight for the first time after dark, and the radio lighting looks real good. I think that the dark walnut dash (was that a 60th thing) vs. the typical Aero "aluminum" dash helps the radio (in the light).
Yeah it's too bad that GM couldn't have found another couple hundred $'s to not have the car decontent some, but I still love these cars.
