It's a been couple years since I dealt with this on my old V6. EPC sure does list SAI stuff for 2000-2003 V6's.
If your pump has failed it means one or both of your valves have failed too, usually... The valves will let exhaust gases into the SAI pipes, and the condensation in the exhaust builds up in the SAI pump's motor, and then it fails. People just replace the pumps and start scratching their heads when it fails again in a year... the valve(s).
It's really a huge dumb system that has no business in there. The 2003 9-3 Sport Sedans have the same valve in them and they eat through SAI pumps like mad too. Luckily they smartened up and deleted the system for 2004 and subsequent 9-3's.
